Katie Sandison is a passionate artist and teacher who utilizes vibrant watercolour and acrylic paint on wooden surfaces to create stunning representations of endangered, extinct and common Australian flora and fauna species from past and present. She creates a crucial connection between birds such as the familiar yet iconic magpie and the more rare and extraordinary species hardly seen any more, in a unique and distinctive style of painting. Katie's signature style also includes the use of gold, copper and silver leaf which she incorporates into her prints and original works.
