Joseph Boas

Joe Boas is an artist and creative living on the Fleurieu Peninsula, south of Adelaide. His current mediums are ceramics, with a focus on wild clays, ochres and other local materials.

Inspiration comes from a connection to these lands, the trees and scrub, the rocky cliffs and particularly the transitional space where the land meets the sea. From a familiarity with these places, their colours, shapes and textures, comes a rustic aesthetic that translates into his work.
