The Heart is a Muscle - Harley Manifold

The Heart is a Muscle by VIC Artist Harley Manifold - Finalist in the 2024 Heysen Prize for Landscape.

We used to build in the landscape, surrounded by it and at its mercy. Now we plant the landscape around our buildings to make us feel more in touch with nature. This change in perspective is a large part of my work, how we shift from one foot to the other and justify each movement.
