Kurun Warun is a Gunditjmara man who is also a decendant of Truganini, the sadly famous last indigenous Tasmanian queen. This painting shows the fire stick plant. Its long stem and fibrous top end made it perfect for hand made fire, an important technology to Aboriginal people living the traditional life.
