Humphrey Bear Tote Bag - Sally Heinrich
Before I started school, one of my daily afternoon rituals was watching the Channel Niners. The main attraction of the show was, of course, Humphrey B. Bear. I used to enter the weekly drawing competition, and eventually (was it simply my persistence?) won first prize. I had to actually appear on the show, on live TV, to collect my prize. The highlight of the night, however, was not only meeting Humphrey, but being allowed to kiss him on the nose! I can’t begin to explain how exciting that was.
Digitally printed on certified organic, climate friendly cotton. Roomy and strong, appropriately 42 x 44cm (74 including shoulder strap.)
From an original hand coloured linoprint which is part of my ‘Local Icons’ series, celebrating well-known, and not so well-known, South Australians, and featured in my book 'Local Icons' published by Wakefield Press.
Linoprints are created by carving the design, in mirror image, into a lino block. The black was printed by hand on Stonehenge 100% cotton paper, and coloured using watercolour paints and inks.
A great bag for any outing, to carry your water bottle, snacks and sunscreen, or just for cheering up your shopping trips. Or use it as a library bag, or for going to the beach. Or anywhere really.
